Teaching

Along with my degrees from the Colburn School and CNSM of Lyon in percussion performance, I also earned a degree in instrumental pedagogy at the CEFEDEM Auvergne Rhone-Alpes in Lyon France. I have taught at several institutions including the Colburn Academy (USA), The Chassieu Conservatory (FR), and the Hector Berlioz Conservatory (FR). Previous students have been accepted into the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra, Carnegie Mellon University, The Juilliard School, and The Lyon Regional Conservatory.

I currently teach at Cleveland State University, Bay Village Middle School and the Fairmount Center for the Arts. I also teach private lessons for classical percussion in Chesterland Ohio.

Classical Percussion Lessons:

These lessons prepare students for orchestra, concert band, marching band, and percussion ensemble.
More specifically:

-mallet percussion
bells, marimba, and vibraphone (how to play with 2 mallets and 4 mallets)

-concert snare drum

-multi-percussion
set-ups consisting of several percussion instruments

-rudimental (marching style) snare drum (matched grip or traditional grip)
